THE VISION
Megan and Tomas wanted their LIMEKILN wedding flowers to feel luxurious, abundant and modern, but without introducing lots of colour. Instead, we kept the palette deliberately restrained, layering whites and fresh greens through a mix of soft, cloud-like blooms, sculptural flowers and delicate movement.
For the ceremony in Poplar Hall, generous white floral arrangements were positioned to frame the couple and draw the eye towards the incredible windows behind them. Rather than competing with LIMEKILN's architecture, the flowers were designed to work with it — softening the clean lines of the space while creating the sense of occasion a wedding ceremony deserves.
The same considered approach continued through the personal flowers, with Megan's bouquet bringing together full white blooms and delicate orchids for a refined, editorial feel. The monochromatic palette allowed the shape, scale and texture of the flowers to take centre stage, proving that white wedding flowers can still feel incredibly rich and impactful.
For couples planning their own LIMEKILN Sussex wedding, this is a great example of how I approach floral design for the venue. You don't need a complicated colour palette to make a statement. LIMEKILN's contemporary architecture provides the perfect backdrop for sculptural shapes, abundant floral installations and beautiful negative space — allowing the flowers to feel considered rather than simply filling the room.
The finished design was elegant without feeling traditional, abundant without becoming overwhelming, and very much at home in Poplar Hall at LIMEKILN.
Megan and Tomas brought a beautifully pared-back sense of luxury to their LIMEKILN Sussex wedding, with abundant white florals, fresh green foliage and sculptural arrangements designed to make an impact against the clean lines of Poplar Hall. The result was modern, romantic and effortlessly elegant, with statement ceremony flowers, considered personal flowers and plenty of texture creating a floral design that felt completely at home at LIMEKILN.
