Bloominati Boutique Floral Design in Sussex: Luxury Extras

Flower advice

BACK TO ALL POSTS

If you asked me how I’d best describe Bloominati, I’d say it’s boutique floral design in Sussex and beyond – small, sophisticated and exclusive. Small only in the fact that I am an independent designer working with a carefully curated little team, however, as my couples will tell you there’s nothing small about the creative flair and artistic design that goes into the wedding flowers we craft.

As well as dreaming in shades of daring and embracing modern, bold blooms, I strive to give you an elevated, enjoyable experience that is full of unexpected little luxuries.

This is a guide to all the surprises and special touches you’ll discover along the way when you work with me…well, almost all – where’s the fun in revealing all my secrets so soon?

Boutique Floral Design in Sussex – Pre-Wedding Day Added Extras

From the moment you say yes to having your wedding flowers designed by Bloominati, you’ll begin to see the luxurious little details that will keep you supported, excited and head over heels in love with the wedding planning process. Here’s what you can expect before your wedding day:

1. Discover how your design will blossom, with a guide to the Bloominati process

Soon after booking you’ll receive your welcome guide, containing the seeds from which your beautifully bespoke wedding flowers will grow. You’ll never be left guessing what’s next, as your guide details the process (what happens when), how you can get in touch with me throughout, and everything I’ll need from you along the way.

2. Get guidance on your wider wedding day design

While my job is to paint your wedding space with stunning florals, my eye for design and experience in the wedding industry means I’m well placed to advise you on other aspects of your day. If you’re stumped by signage, have questions about candles or need some light shining on your ceremony aesthetic, I’ve got you.

I design your wedding florals holistically, keeping in mind the entire flow of your day and weaving your blooms throughout the whole story, so I’m always happy to advise on how something could look and feel.

In your welcome pack, you’ll also get my advice on other items that come together to create your wedding aesthetic as a whole, helping you weave elements such as outfits, accessories, napkins, crockery, even the confetti, through your colour story. I always encourage you to keep me in the loop with these details as you decide them, because it goes a long way to ensuring your design is cohesive throughout the day.

3. My trusted supplier list

I have a cosy, carefully curated list of other wedding suppliers who I’ve worked with and trust, and when you book your wedding flowers with me you’ll get access to it too. From fabulous photographers and planners to incredible cake artists and accessory designers, I can help you build your wedding dream team and you can be assured that they’ll deliver on quality, bring the best vibes, and collaborate to give you the best day imaginable.

My hope is that you can save on the countless hours of scrolling and searching for suppliers, allowing you to confirm your entire team sooner rather than later – this means all that’s left to do is get very, very excited.

Boutique Floral Design in Sussex – Wedding Day Added Extras

Your wedding day is one of the most special days you’ll ever share together, and I consider it my privilege to bedeck your space in nature’s jewels. Giving you an experience you’ll look back on with a warm glow is my top priority, so I’ve woven these luxurious extras into your wedding day service. Here’s what you can expect beyond wedding floristry on your big day.

1. Silk bouquet ribbons

Finishing your bouquet with a silk ribbon is a deceptively simple flourish that can make something beautiful feel even more bridal. The moment I come and hand over your perfectly put together personals in the morning is always so special, and often very emotional (for us both!). It’s a dynamic, living representation of the organic gorgeousness found within your own love story, and the silk ribbon is my final, elevating touch which is available as an added extra to your floral fancies.

2. Flatlay boxes

What if you could capture all the lovely little incidental details from your wedding day in one place? The small but considered items such as your own place cards, specially bought earrings, wedding day perfume and even your engagement ring. A flatlay box is the perfect way to do this, along with delicate details such as trailing ribbons and select blooms.

Your photographer will be able to capture the most gorgeous, editorial imagery of your flatlay box to allow you to reminisce on all these things that can seem insignificant in the grand scheme of the day, but mean so much when thinking about them afterwards.

Flatlay boxes can be crafted by me and my team on your wedding day (available to purchase as an added extra), transforming over time into snapshots that can magically transport you back to the warm haze of love that surrounds you when you say your ‘I do’s. This is a unique Bloominati feature and one I always love to delight my couples and their photographers with!

3. Styling elements

Many couples don’t know this before they meet with me, but as well as your wedding day florals I can also provide styling items such as candles and holders, plinths and textiles. Not all florists do this, but I believe it goes a long way towards helping your wedding day aesthetic look and feel cohesive and considered.

Your florals and styling go hand in hand and should be interwoven so they feel almost as one entity, and I love helping my couples by designing spaces that feel as though they’ve been crafted with intention.

4. Your Floral Recipe

The combination of flowers that comes together to create your wedding day blooms is exclusively yours – there will never be an exact repeat of your unique floral recipe. That’s why you’ll also receive a handwritten rundown of all the flowers I used at your wedding, so that you’ll always be able to go out and purchase them again when you’re ready to reminisce.

5. A little more of me

You may not be aware that I’ll actually voluntarily spend a little longer on site than absolutely necessary on your wedding day, for one very specific and special reason. After your ceremony there’s usually a gorgeous whirlwind that sweeps you along into photographs and canapes and mingling, during which time your florist swoops in and moves your ceremony flowers to their next location. However, I do one thing differently to most other florists.

I’ll work closely with your photographer, coordinating it so that after your ceremony you’ll be able to come back into the space once your guests have moved on to the drinks reception. Before I touch a single stem to repurpose it into your next space, I love to give you the opportunity to have some portraits taken with your ceremony flowers.

Your wedding ceremony backdrop blooms are so special because they were right there framing you with every vow, and the photographs you’ll get during this post-ceremony pause are often some of the most striking and stunning.

This is something I really want for all my couples – I did it myself at my own wedding (yes, I was my own florist!) and know just how special it is looking back on those images.

6. Florals beyond the obvious

You’ll want wedding flowers for your ceremony, a bouquet and designs for your wedding breakfast, of course. But I’m also conscious that your wedding day should feel like one continuous flowing story, not disjointed sections that move awkwardly from one to the next.

Your flowers go a long way to assuring this, which is why we spend time talking through the fluidity of your day during the design process, and why I’ll create arrangements and installations for every meaningful moment – not just the obvious ones.

My couples enjoy seeing their florals repurposed and relocated throughout their wedding day, watching them appear as if grown on their cake table, around their signage, behind the champagne tower or as a stunning backdrop for an iconic photo moment.
